The Aspire 5000 laptop is manufactured by Acer™ using devices supplied by AuthenTec™, Intel™, Realtek™, OEM™, Chicony Electronics™, Agere™, Atheros™ and JMicron™. The biometric hardware is controlled by the aes1600 device. Mobile 4 series chipset integrated supports the graphics hardware. Human interface is designed for use with the usb input hardware. The imaging hardware is controlled by the acer crystaleye webcam device. Agere systems hda modem supports the modem hardware.

The network device utilises the ar8121 ar8113 ar8114 gigabit fast ethernet and the wifi link 5100 hardware. Sd host controllers can have up to 4 devices, the ms host controller, xd host controller, standard sd host controller and the sd mmc host controller. Storage is designed for use with the ich9m m e sata ahci hardware.
