The Aspire X1700 pc is manufactured by Acer™ using devices supplied by nVidia™, Realtek™, Dell™, Cypress™, VIA™, Agere Systems™ and SanDisk™. Graphics can have up to 3 devices, the geforce g100 g98, geforce 7100 nforce 630i c73 and the geforce 8400 gs g98. Hd audio can have up to 3 devices, the mcp73 high definition, realtek high definition audio and the high definition audio.

The human interface device utilises the optical 5 button wheel mouse and the keyboard hardware. Ieee 1394 is designed for use with the 1394 ohci compliant host controller hardware.

The modem hardware is controlled by the agere pci sv92ex soft modem device. Mcp73 ethernet supports the network hardware. Storage system uses the cruzer usb flash drive device. Usb is designed for use with the mass storage hardware.
