The Travelmate 7220 laptop is manufactured by Acer™ using devices supplied by Intel™, nVidia™, Realtek™, Trust™, Texas Instruments™, Broadcom™ and O2 Micro™. The audio hardware is controlled by the 82801db dbl dbm ac97 sound ich4 ich4 l ich4 m device. Graphics runs on both the geforce 7100 nforce 620i c73 and the 82852 855gm integrated.

The hd audio device utilises the mcp73 high definition and the enheden high definition audio hardware. Human interface is designed for use with the usb ps 2 optical mouse hardware.

The ieee 1394 hardware is controlled by the tsb43ab21 ieee 1394a 2000 controller device. 82801db dbl dbm ac97 modem ich4 ich4 l ich4 m supports the modem hardware. Network can have up to 3 devices, the mcp73 ethernet, bcm4401 100base and the calexico2 pro wireless 2200bg. Pcmcia is designed for use with the oz711ec1 smartcardbus hardware.

The storage hardware is controlled by the 82801dbm ide ich4 m device.
