All Microsoft® operating systems are supplied with a Asus® 1001PX driver resource DVD with driver update software built in. ** Please note there is no legal way to download Windows® XP! Only the driver disk is available for Windows® XP. However Full operating systems are available for Windows® Vista & Windows® 7.

Remember these .iso files are over 3GB in size, are genuine Microsoft® downloads supplied by a Microsoft® online distribution partner. You will be asked to use our download manager to ensure digital delivery and manage the large DVD images. Currently these downloads are the latest Versions (SP1) Service Pack 1 update for Windows® 7 and (SP1) Service Pack 1 update for Windows® Vista. Without SP1 you would need to install many more hundreds of updates. The 1001PX laptop is manufactured by Asus™ using devices supplied by Asus™, nVidia™, Intel™, ATI™, Microsoft™, Realtek™, A4 Tech™, Logitech™, IMC Networks™, Chicony Electronics™, Atheros™, JMicron™, Imation™ and Nokia™. The bluetooth hardware is controlled by the bt 270 device. Graphics can have up to 5 devices, the geforce 310m gt218, core processor integrated, mobility radeon hd 4500 5100 m92, rv710 730 and the mobility radeon hd 5000 madison.

Hd audio can have up to 6 devices, the 5 series 3400 chipset high definition, high definition audio device, high definition audio, realtek high definition audio, high definition audio and the 5 series 3400 chipset high definition.

The human interface device utilises the usb composite and the m115 mouse hardware. Imaging has two devices, the periferica usb composita and the usb composite. Network can have up to 3 devices, the ar9285 wireless pci express, jmc250 pci express gigabit ethernet and the centrino wireless n 1000. The sd host controllers device utilises the standard sd host controller and the sd mmc host controller hardware.

Storage can have up to 3 devices, the 5 series 3400 series chipset 4 port sata ide, 5 series 3400 series chipset 2 port sata ide and the 5 series 3400 series chipset 4 port sata ahci. Usb runs on both the usb mass storage and the n95 pc suite mode.
