The VGN-AR11SR laptop is manufactured by Sony™ using devices supplied by Alps Electric™, nVidia™, Intel™, Microsoft™, Conexant™, Sunplus Technology™, Texas Instruments™, Ricoh™, Philips™, SMK Manufacturing™ and Samsung™. The bluetooth hardware is controlled by the bluetooth controller alps ugpz6 device. Geforce go 7600 gt g73 supports the graphics hardware. Hd audio can have up to 3 devices, the n10 ich 7 high definition controller, sigmatel high definition audio and the high definition audio.

Human interface is designed for use with the usb hid hardware. The ieee 1394 hardware is controlled by the pcixx12 ohci compliant ieee 1394 host controller device.

R5u870 visual communication camera vgp vcc2 supports the imaging hardware. Multimedia system uses the saa7131 saa7133 saa7135 video broadcast decoder device. The network device utilises the pro 100 ve and the golan pro wireless 3945abg hardware. Pcmcia is designed for use with the pcixx12 cardbus hardware. Storage runs on both the 82801g ide ich7 and the 82801ghm sata raid ich7 m dh.
